Introduction
The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, will be making his first international trip as Prime Minister of Canada to the G20 Summit in Antalya, Turkey (November 15 and 16, 2015), and to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders'' Meeting in Manila, Philippines (November 18 and 19, 2015).
At the G20 Summit, the Prime Minister will participate in discussions on the global economy and on creating growth, stimulating job creation, and ensuring shared prosperity. Other areas of focus will include trade, financial regulation, international tax issues, anti-corruption efforts, energy, development, action against climate change, as well as the refugee crisis.
At the APEC Leaders'' Meeting, the Prime Minister will work with his counterparts to promote sustainable economic growth, with a focus on small and medium enterprises, and to enhance social inclusion and institution building.
On the margins of both summits, Prime Minister Trudeau will hold bilateral discussions with various leaders of the G20 and APEC to advance issues of mutual interest.
