Native printer driver presented: cab and Loftware accelerate GHS labeling
cab, German manufacturer of product marking systems, and Loftware, global market leader in Enterprise Labeling Solutions, jointly developed a native printer driver. This printer driver enables Loftware Spectrum® to support cab printers of the A+, EOS, MACH4 and XC series. The partnership allows tighter integration of two-color printing for mission-critical GHS labeling throughout a global supply chain.
(firmenpresse) - Uwe Lüdemann, Sales Director Label Printing Systems for cab, states ”Only if printers and enterprise applications fit together does product marking meet the highest requirements for quality, reliability and safety.“
Countless revisions to regulations on labeling are defined by the EPA, REACH and OSHA. Isolated or in-house developed applications are often no longer flexible enough to meet the needs of a company. This often includes marking drums, boxes or palettes according to the Globally Harmonized System, GHS.
Two-color label printers by cab
GHS pictograms require two-color printing. cab Technology provides the XC printers with two thermal print units arranged in-line. The conditions for the Classification and Labeling Inventory according to GHS are met. Integrated ribbon saver mechanism reduces the consumption of ribbon. In 2015 Europe‘s leading manufacturer of label printers and automated labeling systems added the Hermes C model to print and apply two-color labels in one operation.
Loftware Enterprise Labeling Solutions

Günther Martin, European Sales Director for Loftware, ”We partnered with cab to develop a native printer driver that helps customers comply with GHS regulations and removes the need for pre-printed stock while delivering the same high-performance customers expect.”
