The first meeting and demonstration took place at the Company headquarters in New Jersey. This is a new and separate deal with a non-government Chinese entity.
Company President and CEO, Mr. George J. Coates, comments: "This is a promising opportunity to license an independent Chinese diesel engine and gen set manufacturing company. We are already into some deals in China where the Chinese government is involved. However, these deals take a considerably much longer time to complete than it does with independent companies."
Diesel engines, diesel gen sets and heavy diesel trucks are in trouble. They simply cannot meet the world emissions standards.
U.S. EPA non-road diesel engines:
40 CFR part 1039 tier 4 emission standards certification required;
40 CFR part 1065 exhaust emission test procedure for lab 15 field testing;
40 CFR part 1068 general compliance provisions;
40 CFR part 89 tier 3 earlier emissions standards and compliance program.
Heavy trucks, buses and engines:
Gross vehicle weight rating above 14,000 lbs. and some vehicles with gross weight rating between 8,500 lbs.;
2012 to 2014 final rules for SCR EPA standards for diesel fueled systems requirements criteria pollutants -- NOX, HC, PNL greenhouse Gas -- CO2 -- N2O and CH4.
Euro 5 and 6 emissions regulations (EC) No 715/2007 (EC) No 692/2008 January 1, 2015 categories. M1 -- M2 -- N1 -- N2.
