(firmenpresse) - PRESS RELEASE: Sheffield UK, 06-NOVEMBER-2015 €“ Mindfulness Mavericks and John Nolan, co-founder, are pleased to announce that he has earned certification in the new psychological therapy called Havening. The therapy method is very new; less than 100 practitioners have completed the certification process. Neuroscience research has shown that traumatic events or experiences can be reversed through the use of sensory input to change thoughts and behaviour.
[Havening Techniques](http://www.havening.org/#!nolan/cfcs) is devoted to changing the brain itself
in order to remove negative effects permanently from the memory. The therapy affects both the body and the brain. An important element of Havening Techniques is the Havening Touch. Human touch is used as a powerful therapeutic tool which eliminates the results of encoded stressful or traumatic memories. The Havening Touch can be used by the individual, or by certified practitioners under guidance.
The Havening Techniques include Event Havening,
Transpirational Havening, Affirmational Havening, Hopeful Havening, Outcome Havening and Role Havening. Each of these techniques have particular targeted events and traumas. A qualified practitioner will determine the best technique to use with a specific client. Additional details on each of the Techniques can be found by visiting the Havening Techniques website at http://www.havening.org.
It is important to seek help from a professional mental health care provider with certification in the techniques where there is particularly severe trauma or where there is a psychological disorder. The Havening methods are based on science and have been shown to eliminate the emotional elements from trauma suffered by patients. The methods are much faster than other types of therapy.
According to [John Nolan](https://mindfulnessmavericks.co.uk/author/john-nolan) speaking to an interviewer recently,
€œ My speciality is helping people overcome adversity, so they can live a satisfying and meaningful life. My own experience with blindness taught me that there is always something creative and skilful which you can do help improve a difficult situation."
Nolan uses Havening, as well as NLP and Acceptance and
Commitment Therapy. By combining therapy, education and coaching, he is able to equip clients to be free of their burdens from the past. Client sessions are structured to improve independence. Even the darkest of subjects can be lightened through the use of proper techniques. His first training in Havening techniques was achieved in 2014, under Drs. Ronald and Steven Ruden, Paul McKenna and many other top-ranked UK trainers. John Nolan operates his own private practice and is a listener at Samaritans. He helps to train volunteers at that organization.
