Headlinr first launched back in May of this year is the first headline writing software application of its kind. Headlinr loads in a browser allowing a user to quickly search and add headlines to any title field on the fly.
Headlinr enables any user with a chrome browser to instantly generate hundreds of proven headlines from one keyword. It even allows a user to save headlines and swipes. There are over 4,010 customers and 65 5 star reviews in the Google Chrome store for Headlinr.
But a new product FreshTitle seems to be an incredibly close copy of Headlinr.
Paul Clifford, CEO and Founder of Headlinr says "We worked extremely hard on developing Headlinr. We saw a huge need in the market to solve a problem that was causing stress for writers, bloggers, and business owners alike."
Clifford says "When we first heard about FreshTitle we did not think much of it. I mean we are used to seeing competitive products all the time, but when our customers get involved we simply cannot ignore it. It wasn''t until we took a closer look that we saw the similarities. Even the background music and sales video concept quoting Upworthy was identical."
Swipe files in the two applications reveal a list of identical results appearing in exactly the same order in both. When entering the word "cheese" the lists are 100% identical. The similarities do not stop there. Even the headline on the sales page could not go unnoticed. The first eight words are exactly the same. As is the concept of adding headlines in WordPress, Facebook, YouTube and email marketing with one click.
The screenshots are presented in the sales letter each with a similar red circle and arrow. The detail in the similarity is uncanny according to Clifford.
