Blackheath Launches Blackheath Tactical FI Strategy, an Innovative Fixed Income Trading Program Selling US T-Bond Options
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 11/03/15 -- Blackheath Fund Management Inc. (Blackheath) is very pleased to announce the launch of the Blackheath Tactical FI Strategy Trading Program, with advisory services provided by Levente Mady, CFA, of PI Financial Corp. in Vancouver.
Mady, a former Olympic swimmer for Canada, has an impressive resume of work in the Canadian and US fixed income markets, managing bond portfolios for investment counsels including Deutsche Bank AG, Canada Branch and CIBC Wood Gundy Securities Inc. As a Fixed Income (FI) Market specialist, he has 25 years of experience in the North American interest rate markets, trading US Government Bonds and derivatives on them.
The Blackheath Tactical FI Strategy is an innovative discretionary short options strategy focusing exclusively on US Fixed Income futures and futures options markets. Trading largely proprietary capital since October, 2011, Mady has put together an excellent track record of annual gains, making a cumulative 148.58%(ii) return from inception to September 30, 2015.
Dr. Andrew Cumming, Managing Director at Blackheath, believes that the pendulum has swung too far towards exclusively quantitative trading strategies, and the time has come for discretionary managers to take advantage of the excesses of purely computer-driven models. The Blackheath Tactical FI Strategy relies on the multi-day to multi-week perspective of the portfolio manager to judiciously sell puts and calls in the US Treasury Bond futures market, within pre-determined risk parameters. Indicators employed include cyclical and seasonal factors, technicals, sentiment and positioning data.
This strategy is available only through separately managed accounts at Blackheath, and currently only to Canadian and other non-US clients.
