PRSA Dallas Announces 2015 Pegasus Award Winners
Honoring Excellence in Public Relations
(firmenpresse) - DALLAS, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 11/02/15 -- The Dallas chapter of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) announced the winners of the 2015 Pegasus Awards, which recognize the most outstanding public relations and strategic communications efforts by Dallas area public relations professionals.
Winners were announced in a luncheon presentation during the annual PRSA Dallas Communications Summit, which drew nearly 200 public relations and communications professionals for a full day of keynote speakers and educational panels with leading industry experts.
Highest honors and Best of Show awards went to PetSmart Charities with Golin in the Programs division for Debunking the Myths of Cats and Cat People, and to Skyonic Corp. with Ketchum in the Projects division for Skyonic''s Capitol SkyMine Grand Opening. The Best of Show awards recognize the two most outstanding entries in the Programs and Projects categories for their creativity and effectiveness in achieving goals and objectives.
PRSA Dallas president Carolyn Covey Morris also announced the top PRSA chapter awards. Bernadette Davis received the Member of the Year Award, Brooke Traister received the President''s Award for Outstanding Service to the Chapter, and Dustin Cox was honored with the New Member of the Year Award.
Pegasus Awards were also given in six categories of the Programs division, represented by multi-faceted campaigns that used several strategies and tactics to reach an objective. The winners were:

Award of Honor: Mary Kay, Inc.
Pegasus Award: Hilton Worldwide with Ketchum
Award of Honor: Toyota North America with Allison + Partners

Award of Honor: The Expo Group
Pegasus Award: PetSmart Charities with Golin
Award of Honor: TrizCom Public Relations
Pegasus Award: TrizCom Public Relations and The Hidden World of WWI
Award of Honor: Ketchum
Award of Honor: TrizCom Public Relations
Pegasus Award: 7-Eleven with Ketchum
Winners were also announced in eight categories of the Projects division, which included entries representing a single tactic developed as part of a comprehensive campaign. The following awards were announced:

The Pegasus Award is named after the iconic red Pegasus in downtown Dallas. It serves as a symbol of public relations excellence in Dallas and North Texas.
