SVP Fast Pitch Announces Social-Impact Winners of $400,000 in Grants and Investments
Top Puget Sound Social Innovators in High School, College, Nonprofit and Startup Ventures Awarded in Final Showdown
(firmenpresse) - SEATTLE, WA -- (Marketwired) -- 10/28/15 -- Social Venture Partners (SVP) today announced the final winners of its Fast Pitch social-impact innovation competition. The 14 finalists, including four in high school and college, competed for more than $400,000 in grants, investments and prizes.
The finalists presented five-minute pitches before a panel of luminary judges and a crowd of approximately 1000 attendees of Puget Sound''s top entrepreneurs, civic leaders and social change-makers at a "Final Showdown" gala event at McCaw Hall on October 27th.
Finalists were selected through a rigorous five-month application and competition process for the best socially innovative programs in the following tracks: high school, college, startup nonprofit, established nonprofit and startup for-profit. Additionally, community partners and audience members awarded special recognition prizes for outstanding efforts in innovation, diversity, social impact and presentation skills.
