Judicial Recount to Be Held in the Electoral District of Regina-Lewvan
(firmenpresse) - GATINEAU, QUEBEC -- (Marketwired) -- 10/28/15 -- The Chief Electoral Officer of Canada, Marc Mayrand, announced today that there will be a judicial recount of the votes in the electoral district of Regina-Lewvan (Saskatchewan). Following validation of the results in the electoral district, the difference between the two leading candidates was 132 votes. A candidate requested the recount.
The recount will be conducted by a judge of the Saskatchewan Court of Queen''s Bench. It will begin on October 29, 2015, following an adjournment of the court-ordered start date of October 27, 2015. The results of the recount will be published on the Elections Canada website after the recount is completed.
