ID: 1390448

In an effort to support and raise awareness of the Endocrine Society's mission to limit exposure to harmful chemicals, and to reduce associated health risks, NextGen Nutritionals has released the following free report. Read more here.

(firmenpresse) - The Endocrine Society has released the latest scientific statement in Washington DC, as they prepare to address a global meeting at the International Conference on Chemicals Management, ICCM4, in Geneva Switzerland.

The executive summary focused on the past, continued, and emerging evidence, that endocrine-disrupting chemical exposure is a threat to public health and society. The hope is that the leaders of the world will focus on the importance of using a scientific approach toward lowering endocrine-disrupting exposure and the associated health risks.

This organization continues to be proactive, reporting scientific evidence to confirm their conclusion that the endocrine-disrupting chemicals are a definite health risk. Although this is the newest summary report -- it builds from years of continued and new research data since the groundbreaking 2009 report. When asked about their results, those responsible for the report said:

€œIn ensuing years, additional research has found that exposure is associated with increased risk of developing diabetes and obesity. Mounting evidence also indicates EDC exposure is connected to infertility, hormone-related cancers, neurological issues and other disorders. EDCs contribute to health problems by mimicking, blocking, or otherwise interfering with the body''s natural hormones. By hijacking the body''s chemical messengers, EDCs can alter the way cells develop and grow."

Specifically targeted is the endocrine-disruptive chemical bisphenol A -- commonly known as BPA €“ used to make food can linings, cash register receipts, as well as phthalates that are used in the manufacturing of cosmetics, pesticides, flame retardants and plastics. These products have become a prevalent staple in society, and the alarming side effects are found all over the world, the summary adds, €œnearly every person on Earth has been exposed to one or more."

With increased knowledge about the potential consequences of these actions, NextGen Nutritionals, a leading health and wellness brand, hopes that more people will work to better the environment and maintain its hospitability for future generations. When asked for comment, a representative for the company said, €œKnowing what these chemicals are doing to the health of the community, and that of animals and plant life that also inhabit this planet, there is no reason to overlook it. Making the necessary changes now, before its too late, is key.
