In October, the Hollywood location on North Gower Street is holding a What''s Your Favorite Movie film festival. The festival is a great way to get in the mood for the Halloween season. Tenants submit the names of their top scary movies to be screened in the lobby during the workday. It''s the perfect time to enjoy and share favorite spooky films and relive fond memories. Cult favorites include Halloween, Friday the 13th, and Chucky.
Hollywood Production Center would like to congratulate Glendale tenant Cristal Logothetis of Reliable Translations on the launch of a successful Indiegogo campaign. All proceeds go directly to the purchase (at wholesale price) and delivery of infant and toddler baby carriers to Syrian refugees in need on Kos and other surrounding Greek islands.
As many as 2,000 Syrian refugees arrive daily to the small island of Kos, located nine miles from the shores of Turkey. Many risk and sadly lose their lives in their effort to reach safety. Given that they travel in small, often makeshift, rafts and boats, they arrive with almost nothing to their name. Which makes this point in their journey an impactful moment to supply aid -- in this case, carriers for the children of mothers who need to walk hundreds of miles with their children in their arms.
Thank you for showing your support, and please continue to do so. The campaign is currently at 494 percent of their goal. They have raised $12,341 and hope to receive even more helpful funds in the last few remaining days. The cause also accepts new or used baby carriers in working condition, shipped to:
