African American Original Wood Artwork Being Displayed at ArtPrize Event
James McCurtis Jr. artist and owner of 17 Oak Art announced that his company will participate in this year's ArtPrize event held in Grand Rapids Michigan from September 23, 2015 - October 11, 2015.
(firmenpresse) - Art enthusiasts looking for original African American art work made of wood and other types of material and designs can attend the art exhibition event given by ArtPrize in Grand Rapids Michigan. The event is scheduled to take place September 23, 2015 - October 11, 2015.
The artist and owner of 17 Oak Art James McCurtis Jr.''s live like 3D exhibits in this year''s event ranges from 3 to 4 feet in height. James'' art was inspired by his childhood experience. He grew up in Maywood, Illinois a City about 15 miles west of Chicago, Illinois. According to James: €œart is about you and your memories and the feeling of nostalgia that brings a smile to your face."
James'' artwork displayed at the event has a theme and it is: "Bring your fond childhood memories to life again."

An Array of African American Art Sculptures and other work of art €“ In addition to African American Original Art work there are other types of art that is presented at the event from abstract to canvas type exhibits.
Voting €“ ArtPrize encourages viewers to vote for the art they feel is well presented as they are giving away up to $500,000 in gifts and prizes to art winner participants.
When asked about the reasons behind participating in this event, artist and participant, James McCurtis Jr. said: €œThe art work that I am presenting allows people who visit to re-live their childhood neighborhood experience. My hope is put a smile on their face."
He also stated: €œthis event offers originality and the opportunity to have a different art experience."
