Public Service Announcement: Battle of Britain Gun Salute

(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 09/19/15 -- A 21-gun salute will be fired to mark the anniversary of the Battle of Britain. The firing is scheduled to commence at 1:07 p.m. on September 20, 2015 at Parliament Hill. Local residents and visitors may notice a succession of loud noises.
Four 105-mm C3 howitzers from 30th Field Regiment, Royal Canadian Artillery will be positioned on Parliament Hill for the firing. Each gun will fire a blank round, in succession with a standard interval of 10-seconds, for a total of 5 for each gun + 1 round for the first gun to achieve the 21-rounds total.
