The American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine consists of qualified practitioners using acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine in the field of reproductive health. Certification maintains that practitioners demonstrate vast knowledge and experience, and the ABORM is committed to teaching, research, and the practice of traditional Chinese medicine in the field of reproductive health. Fellowship with the ABORM demonstrates competency and advanced knowledge in the field of both traditional Chinese and Western reproductive medicine. The ABORM emphasizes integrated fertility treatment options, evidence-based medicine, and standardizing fertility treatment with traditional Chinese medicine.
Certification requires passing a rigorous advanced certification examination that measures knowledge in Western and traditional Chinese medicine reproductive physiology, pathology, diagnosis, and treatment.
