Akoustis'' website includes an of the benefits of piezoelectric materials in bulk acoustic wave (BAW) filters. Content on the site also presents single-crystal material''s ability to reduce band loss and limit power drain of smartphones, which in many cases require up to 25 filters (and up to 125 resonators) to identify and acquire RF bands to transmit and receive voice, data and messaging on devices.
