Mobile shopping: Triumph increases mobile sales by 200 percent
Gütersloh – Full-service e-commerce service provider arvato introduces a new responsive design solution for the Triumph online shop. The mobile presence has allowed the Swiss lingerie manufacturer to increase its conversion rate by 38 percent. The online shop now features responsive design and is tailored to smartphones and tablets. Since its implementation, Triumph has increased mobile traffic by 115 percent, tablet revenue by 108 percent and smartphone revenue by 200 percent compared to 2014. The development took a mere three months.
(firmenpresse) - “This rapid implementation was only possible through the close coordination and collaboration between Triumph and arvato,” says Jeanine Schneider, responsible Key Account Director at Consumer Products – arvato SCM Solutions, who has been in charge of the Triumph account since 2011. The online shop pages are designed so that their layout adapts seamlessly to popular mobile device screen sizes, which not only allows intuitive operation, but also greatly minimises searching and zooming.
Analyses have shown that increasingly more customers visit the Triumph online shop via mobile devices. The number of mobile users rose from 12 percent in 2012 to 36 percent in 2014. Triumph has adapted to this change in its customers’ needs through its new online presence. Today, the majority of traffic is generated by mobile devices. In addition, this category already accounts for one third of the total revenue. All current studies and analyses indicate that this trend will continue.
“It’s no secret that more and more people access the Internet via mobile devices,” says Niels Weithe, President of Consumer Products – arvato SCM Solutions. “That’s why we are glad that we were able to quickly support Triumph in implementing responsive design. After all, the Triumph online shop experienced its ‘mobile moment’ as early as April of this year, when more visitors accessed it via tablets and smartphones than their computers.”
Triumph makes use of arvato’s full-service e-commerce package. This includes demandware shop development and operation of the website, the order management system (OMS), logistics and transportation management, customer and financial services. “The investment in the development of our mobile shop has paid off even faster than any best case scenario we dared to hope for,” says Tilman Galler, e-commerce manager at Triumph. “The figures confirm that responsive was the right decision and we are planning to expand the mobile approach further in 2016.”
