E. & J. Gallo Winery Purchases Talbott Vineyards
(firmenpresse) - MONTEREY COUNTY, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/27/15 -- Robert Talbott, Inc. announced today that an agreement has been reached to sell the Talbott Vineyards business and related assets including their Sleepy Hollow Vineyard in Monterey County''s Santa Lucia Highlands to E. & J. Gallo Winery.
In 1982 Robb Talbott established one of the California Central Coast''s most highly regarded estate-grown Pinot Noir and Chardonnay programs at Talbott Vineyards. This was developed by featuring two of Monterey County''s grand cru vineyard sites: The Diamond T Vineyard in Carmel Valley and the legendary 525 acres of vineyard at Sleepy Hollow, in the Santa Lucia Highlands. The two vineyards offer different growing conditions, yielding rich and distinctive Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays that embody their unique terroirs.
"Our family is proud of our pioneering role in Monterey County winemaking and viticulture over the last thirty plus years and in building the Talbott Vineyards reputation for outstanding Pinot Noir and Chardonnay," said Robb Talbott. International Wine Associates of Healdsburg, California serves as the exclusive M&A advisors to and represents Talbott Vineyards in this transaction.
The sale is scheduled to close on September 4, 2015. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
