Latest Classroom Management software release embraces Microsoft’s Windows 10
Leading classroom management specialist, NetSupport, has released the latest version of NetSupport School to coincide with the worldwide availability of Windows 10.

Windows 10 delivers new levels of flexibility in the classroom and across the campus, encompassing desktop and tablet learning resources; and after a year of development, NetSupport is set to capitalize on this by delivering NetSupport School Tutor: a new Windows Store app designed for teachers that will deliver seamless orchestration of classroom activities from any Windows 10 tablet or PC.

With NetSupport School 12, those management and eSafety controls still exist, but they play second fiddle to the orchestration and collaboration features key to the IT-enabled classroom.
“With so much new for schools in Windows 10, we wanted to complement the additional functionality and resources provided, so the new Teacher app has been designed to specifically help orchestrate the classroom, from remotely launching Microsoft Office 365 apps on all student tablets, to delivering documents and lesson resources to the class,” said Kingsley.
The Teacher’s Launchpad feature facilitates remotely launching cloud-based Office Mix presentations, OneNote or any other online curriculum content onto every student’s screen − in an instant. NetSupport School also extends its support to include integration with the fantastic new Microsoft Edge browser, providing launching of websites, as well as monitoring and blocking of all student web activity. In addition, closer OS integration allows NetSupport School to deliver the same functionality for both desktop and Windows Store apps within the classroom. Approved and restricted lists for both Apps and Websites are also provided.
Alongside orchestration sits assessment, and the new Teacher app includes an innovative Question and Answer module supporting basketball questioning, differentiation, peer assessment − and even includes a nod towards gamification with first to answer, rewards and team-based assessment tools included.
NetSupport School provides the right tools to ensure Teachers can leverage all of the benefits available in a new Windows 10 classroom − designed to be easy to use, touch-optimized and backed with a 25-year pedigree for security.
