Spanish language school plays gymkhana to support its students´learning
(firmenpresse) - Valencia. On Thursday language school in Valencia organized a game in the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia called Gymkhana. A group of students gathered in front of the City of Arts and Sciences, got brochures with questions and the students were supposed to find answer to these questions (some of the questions were rather tricky). Using Google was not allowed. And what is the best way to find an answer on a question you can´t answer? Ask. Students asked a lot and this was the purpose of the game. While asking they could have practice their Spanish, hear different accents and talk to locals. Students gained knowledge about CAC and had a possibility to practice what they´ve learned at school. The locals were very nice and students got quickly into conversation.
Afterwards, when all questions were answered, the whole group went to get some refreshment and eat some tapas. It was well-spent day and students that feared speaking Spanish with Spaniards found out that you can´t always rely on the lingua franca of today – English and that it is actually a very good feeling when you can understand and speak one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. This all experienced students of language school Costa de Valencia.
