MSC Technologies presents Type 10 COM Express module with USB Client and adequate evaluation board
(PresseBox) - 08.2015 - MSC Technologies, a business unit of Avnet Inc. (NYSE: AVT), presents the MSC C10M-BTC Type 10 COM Express? Mini module family with USB client interface to easily connect the computer-on-module based system as client to a PC.
For evaluation and prototyping of COM Express? modules in the Mini form factor, MSC Technologies offers the MSC C10-MB-EV Type 10 carrier board. The universal Mini-ITX baseboard provides connectors for USB 3.0 and 2.0, GbE LAN, audio, DisplayPort, embedded DisplayPort (eDP), and LVDS graphics outputs. The board comes with a PCI Express? x4 slot, a PCI Express Mini card socket for functional extension, and a SD Card slot.
The MSC C10M-BTC COM Express? module family is available with seven processor variants with quad-core, dual-core, and single-core Intel® Atom? or quad-core Intel® Celeron? processors. The on-chip Intel® Gen 7 HD Graphics provides significantly improved 2D and 3D graphics and supports DirectX® 1.1, OpenGL 3.2, OpenCL? 1.1, and a flexible HD video decoding hardware.
The compact module with a size of 55 x 84 mm is best suited for ruggedized applications and is specified for an extended operating temperature range of -40 to +85 °C. The broad portfolio of modern interfaces includes USB 3.0, USB 2.0, USB 2.0 Client, PCIe x1 Gen. 2.0, Gbit Ethernet, HD audio, LPC, SATA, a Digital Display Interface, and an LCD interface, which alternatively can be configured as embedded DisplayPort (eDP).
