After successfully completing the Dakar Rally Trophy Truck Division in 2015, the forward-thinking businessman will be running in the Time Attack Division of the Pikes Peak race. Being able to triumphantly finish last year''s Dakar Rally, Jason Brailow feels confident he is well prepared to compete Pikes Peak Hill climb.
Competing in the race, Jason Brailow''s Time Attack is a division for production-based vehicles that are two and four wheel drive. The division consists of two units, Time Attack 1 Class and Time Attack 2 Class. The Time Attack 1 features production racecars that have more modification and specification than in the Time Attack 2 Class, which only allows for minor modifications. There are several other divisions that participate in the Pikes Peak race, including ones for electric motorcycles, regular motorcycles, Quad Class, Side Cars, and an Unlimited Division, in which just about anything goes (source: ).
The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb was first founded 98 years ago when its first race was held in August of 1916. Pikes Peak is named after Zabulon Pike, an explorer commissioned by Thomas Jefferson, who after seeing the magnificent mountain for the first time in 1806 from the eastern part of Colorado said no one would ever be able to conquer it.
