Aurora Announces Appointment of Chuck Rifici and Adam Szweras to the Board of Directors
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 08/10/15 -- Aurora Cannabis Inc. ("Aurora" or the "Company") (CSE: ACB)(FRANKFURT: 21P)(WKN: A1C4WM)(OTCQB: ACBFF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Chuck Rifici and Adam Szweras to the Board of Directors of the Company.
Mr. Rifici is the co-founder and former CEO of Tweed Marijuana Inc. ("Tweed") and currently a director of the Liberal Party of Canada. Prior to Tweed, he served as CFO of various technology firms such as Select Start Studios (acquired by Shopify), TekSavvy Solutions Inc. and Cybersurf Corp. Mr. Rifici is a chartered professional accountant. He obtained his MBA from Queen''s University and a B.A.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the University of Ottawa.
Mr. Szweras has practiced corporate and securities law since 1996. In January 2006, he founded Foundation Markets Inc., a brokerage firm licensed as an Exempt Market Dealer, and FMI Capital Advisory Inc., a merchant bank, where he continues as Chairman. In February 2006, Mr. Szweras joined Fogler, Rubinoff LLP as a partner where he continues to practice corporate and securities law. Mr. Szweras has a LLB from the Osgoode Hall Law School at York University.
