Global Healthcare REIT Appoints Zvi Rhine and Lance J. Baller to Board of Directors

(OTCQB: GBCS), a company that owns healthcare properties and leases them to senior care facility operators, has appointed Zvi Rhine and Lance J. Baller to its board of directors. Their appointments bring the total number of directors to six, with three serving independently.

Rhine brings more than 14 years of experience in the securities industry. He is founder, principal and managing member of Sabra Capital Partners, a multi-strategy hedge fund that focuses on event-driven, value and special situations investments primarily in North America.
Prior to Sabra Capital, he served as vice president at Hilco Trading where he concentrated on asset-backed investments and sale-leaseback transactions. Before Hilco Trading, he served as a director of Boone Capital, an event-driven hedge fund concentrating on small to mid-cap companies. Rhine has also served in various investment capacities for Banc of America Securities and US Bancorp Piper Jaffray. He received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois.
Baller serves as a director and sole or principal shareholder of several privately owned businesses, including Baller Enterprises, High Speed Mines, High Speed Aggregate, RM Investments, HSA Bedrock and Baller Family Foundation.
Baller is also the co-founder, former CEO and president of Iofina, a technology leader in the production of iodine and iodine derivatives, where he continues to serve as chairman. Before Iofina, Baller served as managing partner of Shortline Equity Partners, a mid-market merger and acquisitions consulting and investment company. Prior to Shortline Equity Partners, he served as managing partner of Elevation Capital Management and alternative investment hedge fund manager of the Elevation Fund. Earlier in his career, Baller served as vice president of Corporate Development and Communications of Integrated Biopharma and served as vice president at UBS and Morgan Stanley.
Baller has served on numerous boards of directors of both private and public companies, including Index Asset Management, where he currently serves on its Board of Trustees.
Global Healthcare REIT acquires real estate properties primarily engaged in the healthcare industry, including skilled nursing homes, medical offices, hospitals and emergency care facilities.
