PhosCan Chemical Announces Results of Annual and Special Meeting
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 07/29/15 -- PhosCan Chemical Corp. (TSX: FOS) ("PhosCan" or the "Company") announces the results of its annual and special meeting of shareholders (the "Meeting") held in Toronto, Ontario on July 28, 2015.
In addition, at the Meeting shareholders appointed Collins Barrow Toronto LLP, Chartered Accountants, as auditors of the Company and ratified the continued existence of the Company''s shareholder rights plan for a further three years.
In accordance with the Company''s Majority Voting Policy, Mr. Gord McKinnon has submitted his resignation to the Board, as he received fewer votes in favour of his re-election as a director than votes withheld. Such resignation does not become effective unless and until it is accepted by the Board of Directors. Pursuant to the Policy, the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee of the Company will consider the resignation and make a recommendation to the Board as to whether Mr. McKinnon''s resignation should be accepted. The Board will announce its decision as to whether to accept Mr. McKinnon''s resignation by no later than October 26, 2015, being 90 days from the date of the Annual and Special Meeting.
