Following the success of his last best-selling book “Acting: Face to Face”, John Sudol has announced an upcoming follow-up piece entitled “Emotional Alignment.”

Slated for an August 2015 release, “Emotional Alignment” picks up where its predecessor left off and dives deeper into the behind-the-scenes of emotional facial communication. After studying the storied work of Dr. Paul Ekman in the area of emotions and facial expressions for over 20 years, Sudol realized the information he discovered had untapped applications. Sudol, a veteran actor himself, soon developed a bridge between Ekman’s findings and their powerful implications within the worlds of acting and business.
“Actors and business professionals often struggle with having their facial expressions match up with their emotions which is why most end up failing to get their nonverbal messages across in the way they intended. This book spells out the steps how to adjust one’s approach to effective communication in a way that is universally recognizable to audiences,” said Sudol.
The new text explores Ekman''s research on emotions and facial expressions and transforms them into tangible tools performers can use to achieve their communication goals as intended.
