Herbalife Provides Nutrition Support to 248 Athletes From Six Asia Pacific Country Teams in 2015 Special Olympics World Games
(firmenpresse) - HONG KONG, CHINA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/22/15 -- , a leading nutrition company, are providing nutrition support to athletes from six Asia Pacific country teams who will participate in the 2015 Special Olympics World Games, held from July 25-August 2, 2015, in Los Angeles, United States. The sponsorship is in line with a global initiative in which Herbalife partners with LA2015, the Organizing Committee for the Games, to assist in meeting the nutritional needs of athletes and coaches from 165 countries.
In the Asia Pacific, Herbalife are providing additional support for 248 athletes in six country teams: Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand and Thailand, who will compete in sports ranging from track and field, through swimming, skating and kayaking, to table tennis, badminton and soccer. The support for the Asia Pacific athletes centers on enhancing nutrition, through providing Herbalife nutrition products. Some athletes are also receiving apparel kits, and advice on nutrition to derive maximum benefit from training, and prepare for competitions.

The six country teams from the Asia Pacific will receive the following support from Herbalife:

Indonesia - Herbalife nutrition products and apparel kits for 41 athletes and 20 team officials
Korea - Herbalife nutrition products including Protein Bars, and a nutrition training session for 94 athletes
Malaysia - Herbalife nutrition products and apparel kits for 25 athletes and 17 coaches
New Zealand - Herbalife nutrition products including Protein Bars, Personalised Protein Powder and Herbalife24 Hydrate, apparel kits, as well as assisting with the costs to attend the World Games for local athlete Monique Irvine
Thailand - Herbalife nutrition products including Nutritional Protein Mix and Personalised Protein Powder for 29 athletes; athletic training suits, sports bags and luggage for the athletes and team officials
The World Games will feature 25 Olympic-style sports, showcasing the unlimited potential of people with intellectual disabilities -- the largest disability population in the world.
