John Gomez and Gomez Trial Attorneys - Step Up Big for "Battle of the Badges"

His commitment was on full display on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Community Youth Athletic Center''s "Battle of the Badges" charity boxing tournament.
("CYAC") is a boxing gym located in National City, California. The gym provides free boxing instruction, tutoring, and positive role models and experiences for at risk kids in one of the region''s most impoverished areas. Several years ago, heard about the gym and wanted to make a difference. From a challenging background himself, John knew how important it is to ensure kids know that people care. For several years now, John and his firm, Gomez Trial Attorneys, have been financial supporters of the gym and its programs.
As his financial contributions increased, so did his time at the gym. A lifetime martial artist, began training at the gym. He befriended the kids, coaches, and parents and spoke to them about his background.
The "Battle of the Badges" is Community Youth Athletic Center''s premiere fundraising event. The tournament matches members of law enforcement, public safety, and the military in live boxing matches. All proceeds go to the Community Youth Athletic Center. Each year, John helps train several of the fighters. He will drill with them, spar with them, and otherwise help get them get ready for the ring.
This year was no different. And, like the past several years, Gomez Trial Attorneys was the premiere sponsor for Battle of the Badges. On Saturday, however, stepped up even more. When the event''s ring announcer had to leave for a family obligation after the first several fights, John stepped into the ring and finished the evening off with a bang.
Like every year, the event was a great success. The fights were exciting, the crowd was pumped, and John kept the show going. Most importantly, however, the kids of The Community Youth Athletic Center won big.
