Government of Canada supports Temiskaming's cultural organizations

The Government of Canada is providing a total of $42,170 in funding to two organizations in the Temiskaming region. A contribution of $37,000 was allocated through the Community Life component of the Development of Official-Language Communities Program to the Association canadienne-francaise de l''Ontario, region du Temiskaming, to support its 2015-16 annual programming.
The Temiskaming Art Gallery received $5,170 in support from the Museums Assistance Program to host "Canada at Play: A Hundred Years of Games, Toys and Sports - Community Outreach," a travelling exhibition from the Royal Ontario Museum.Jay Aspin, Member of Parliament (Nipissing-Temiskaming), made this announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.
