Jeremy Hartman, an avid gamer from Toronto, says he''s as likely to be playing dodge ball, football, volleyball and softball as he is to be shooting virtual goals on NHL 09. Play the piano, with more enthusiasm than skill. Play AND work on the computer. I''ve been playing Runescape for about 6 years now, and so has my wife. (She''s a mod, so I have to behave!)
I think I would let the situation go. Unfortunately the term "gay" has worked its way into children''s slang and I have heard it used in place of dork, geek etc. Carson was probably trying to make himself look good in front of his girlfriend. While the child''s actions were highly inappropriate I think pushing any further will make it seem like your son can''t fight his own battles. The child did send a letter of apology and probably understands that you were highly upset. To push any further in my opinion will probably make it worse in the long run.
Why is nothing ever simple Why does my computer mock me at every turn Apparently Compy seems incapable of copying a file larger than 2GB on to my windows drives (works fine going from Linux to Linux drive). Unfortunately though I can watch the file in Linux because the h264 codec doesn agree with mplayer (or my display driver or just simply Compy itself). Tried looking for a way to make it work, but as ever nothing was forthcoming. Even tried to download another video player (VLC) but it not compatible with my version of SUSE Linux, and even when I tried to go ahead anyway I just got a mass of conflict errors. ::sigh:: So finally after god knows how many hours I give up! I decided to delete the file and download another version by a different subber. The one I had was extra high quality, but I actually got it because the subber was one I knew and trusted. I don need high quality. It just fills up space needlessly. Perhaps the fact that I used to watch pathetic realplayer files for my anime still haunts me. Anything moderately good is high quality to me. ;)
