All-new sound and light show experience welcomes its first spectators

Canadian Heritage, in collaboration with exclusive sponsor Manulife, kicked off the inaugural season of Northern Lights this evening. This free, entirely new 30-minute experience of sound and light is a thrilling thematic journey through Canada''s history presented in spectacular detail against the backdrop of the Parliament Buildings.
Thousands were in attendance as Royal Galipeau, Member of Parliament (Ottawa-Orleans)-on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages-and Peter Wilkinson, Senior Vice President, Industry, Regulatory and Government Affairs at Manulife, officially launched this one-of-a-kind production.
As momentum builds toward Canada 150 celebrations, Northern Lights reflects the important milestones in Canadian history on the road to 2017.
