inTEST Thermal Solutions Launches Benchtop Systems for IC Temperature Testing
Efficient Cooling and Heating Even With High-Watt Emitting Devices
(firmenpresse) - MOUNT LAUREL, NJ -- (Marketwired) -- 07/07/15 -- inTEST Corporation (NYSE MKT: INTT), an independent designer, manufacturer and marketer of thermal management products and semiconductor automatic test equipment (ATE) interface solutions, today announced the introduction of two benchtop systems for temperature testing integrated circuits (ICs), including high-watt emitting devices by inTEST''s Thermal Solutions (iTS). The Temptronic® ThermoSpot® consists of a highly responsive benchtop temperature forcing unit that feeds a thermal head through a flexible umbilical. The thermal head is designed with an interchangeable ThermoBridge™ to mate directly to an IC or other device under test (DUT), creating a highly efficient thermally conductive path to quickly induce temperatures to the device. The ThermoBridge can be designed to interface to the DUT for in-circuit and test socket applications.

Two models, DCP-1 and DCP-2, span a temperature range from -65 to 200 degrees C. The DCP-1 provides cooling power of 25W at -40 degrees C for lower power devices, while the DCP-2 provides a capacity to cool 55W at -55 degrees C and 120W at -40 degrees C. A touch-screen controller permits user-programmable temperatures, graphing, and data logging. The system provides fast and precise transitions of temperature at the IC, even with variations in device power, and can be used with Temptronic''s proven DUT control technology using an embedded diode or external thermocouple.
