Government of Canada Announces Appointments to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights
John Fitzgerald Young appointed Director and CEO, and J. Pauline Rafferty Vice-Chairperson of the Board of Trustees

The Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, today announced the appointment of Dr. John Fitzgerald Young as Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) for a term of five years effective August 17, 2015, and of J. Pauline Rafferty as Vice-Chairperson of the Board of Trustees for a term of four years effective August 17, 2015.
The CMHR is located in Winnipeg and opened in September 2014. It is a Crown corporation within the Canadian Heritage Portfolio.
