MYTH number 2: Musicians have to do that they have to be in the correct spot in the proper time, and also to get lucky, get detected.
MYTH number 3: Musicians must be gifted and also have crucial music business contacts with important people within the music business.
Since we all knew absolutely nothing about the way the music business really worked, the kinds of statements we heard from the adults around us (non professional musicians who were also clueless in regards to the music business) seemed reasonable enough for us.

But all of the other things appeared out of reach (it didn''t help that I dwelt far away from any of the music facilities in the United States.). My biggest sensed challenge was that virtually everything I believed I had a need to happen for me was out of my own, personal control (so I believed). In reality, my genuinely biggest difficulty was that I was aimlessly pursuing all the wrong things (and in the incorrect sequence).
Let''s go back to the conventional wisdom (the myths about the music business) and we''ll see how it is all incorrect.
This could not be less true. You will find countless guitar players on the planet today who want and dream to be professional musicians who are successful and famous, or whatever. Now that I actually do understand (and have done) what it takes to be a professional in the music business, I also realize the vast bulk of people are simply not prepared to do what it takes to make it. Many talk about it, it even tries, but very few musicians have the will to take exact -consistent-forward moving-extreme-action within the long term. This is also the main reason why the majority of people in America who want to be loaded aren''t rich. (the opportunities exist for every American to eventually become affluent who really wants to be). The problem is not in knowing what to do. The main issue for most musicians is the fact that they would not choose to do what it takes if they did understand what to do and the way to get it done.
