Any potential scarring from breast lift surgery typically starts to fade after a few months, often taking a year or two to reach its final appearance, says Dr. Godek. He adds that the good news is mastopexy scars can generally be hidden by most articles of clothing, including several bra and bathing suit varieties.
Ultimately, Dr. Godek reiterates that recovery and downtime after breast surgery will vary by individual. As a result, he recommends consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon who can thoroughly assess one''s unique needs and goals for a more personalized outline of what to expect following mastopexy.
Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, earned his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine.
