Support for the 2017 Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg
A new training centre will benefit the next generation of high-performance athletes and the community
(firmenpresse) - WINNIPEG, MANITOBA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/19/15 -- Department of Canadian Heritage
The Government of Canada, through Sport Canada''s , is providing up to $10.35 million over three years to the 2017 Canada Games Host Society for the largest national multidisciplinary sport event in the country.
From this amount, $3 million will be dedicated to sport infrastructure projects for the Games. This will include a new training facility for the Canada Games Sport for Life Centre, one of the main legacies of the 2017 Canada Games.
The Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, made this announcement today, at the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the new centre.
