App for future storage and retrieval of Quintex QR code data from junction boxes and control stations
You will already find that Quintex have been providing a QR code on their 'Ex' identification and designation Nameplates for junction boxes, terminal boxes and control stations for some time now / This App helps to use it
(PresseBox) - You will already find that Quintex have been providing a QR code on their ''Ex'' identification and designation Nameplates for junction boxes, terminal boxes and control stations for some time now. This QR code contains important information for each device, especially for compulsory ATEX data logging and ongoing plant and site inspections. It indicates a clear and unique serial number, including reference to the related drawings and date of manufacture.
We have now developed a small Android App that can easily be downloaded to your mobile device to help and improve your daily activities with your equipment.
The App can scan the QR code and then save the data to a file of your choice. In addition it will record the date of the scan, any notes you wish to make of an item and the GPS co-ordinates (if available) for the exact location around the Globe. Once you have selected the filename, or taken the default filename, the data is saved as a comma-delimited text file. This makes it very easy to use with other PC programs such as ''Excel'', ''Lotus'' etc. spreadsheets.
You can also monitor the required ''Ex'' periodic maintenance inspections commencing with the scanning date carried out. You now have total control over the maintenance inspection period. When the inspection period is reached the 2nd part of the app is for reading the data. It becomes clear and easily identifiable by the GPS data and/or the file notes recorded which items must be maintained or controlled. The item is scanned again for monitoring purposes, ensuring that the necessary control and recording functions have been carried out locally on site.
If this is of particular interest you can see the App being demonstrated by Quintex up until this Friday 19.06.2015 at the Achema Exhibition, Frankfurt in Hall 9.1 at booth E4. If you wish to acquire this App don''t hesitate to contact us via email or our web page. We can then contact you to discuss the download and installation procedure.
Have lots of fun using this simple but effective time-saving device.
Your Quintex team.
