Government of Canada provides funding to Missinipi Broadcasting Corporation

(firmenpresse) - LA RONGE, SASKATCHEWAN -- (Marketwired) -- 06/08/15 -- Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada is providing $380,815 in funding for the year 2015-2016 to the Missinipi Broadcasting Corporation to support the production and broadcast of up to 168 hours of radio programming per week. This will include 20 hours per week of new original content in Aboriginal languages.

Rob Clarke, Member of Parliament (Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River), made this announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.
