Privateer Days Takes a Step Back in 1780

Government of Canada Provides Funding to Privateer Days Commission

(firmenpresse) - LIVERPOOL, NOVA SCOTIA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/08/15 -- Department of Canadian Heritage

Gerald Keddy, Member of Parliament (South Shore-St. Margaret''s), on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, today announced funding of $40,600 for the 30th edition of Privateer Days in Liverpool.

From June 26 to 28, Privateer Days 2015 will present a live encampment, battle re-enactments by the King''s Orange Rangers, Old Burial Ground tours, an artisan workshop, a privateer play, as well as musical and dance performances. The Privateer Days Commission is counting on the participation of 500 volunteers who will plan and organize the three-day festival, a proud celebration of Liverpool''s colourful privateer heritage.

Funding for this edition of Privateer Days is being provided through the program.
