Prevtec Microbia Delivers the First Million Doses of its Coliprotec(R) F4 Vaccine
The vaccine is now available throughout the European Union, distributed exclusively by Elanco
(firmenpresse) - MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwired) -- 06/08/15 -- Prevtec Microbia ("Prevtec") is delighted to announce that a mere three months after its vaccine received approval in Europe, it has delivered the first million doses to its distributor. A second delivery of two million doses is scheduled for July, and a third will be made in the fourth quarter of 2015. The product is distributed through an exclusive agreement with Elanco, a world leader in animal health.
"This first commercial launch in Europe is a major milestone for the Company, and we are confident that this proven efficacious product will garner success. The official launch for Coliprotec®F4 will take place in Prague on June 18 and 19, in front of an invited group of European Union veterinarians," said Michel Fortin, President and Chief Executive Officer of Prevtec Microbia.
A live bacterial vaccine for oral dosing in pigs, Coliprotec®F4 has been approved for use in Canada, Brazil, Russia and now the European Union. The Company expects to obtain approval of the product in the United States in 2016.
