Hynes Selected to Represent LIVE in X Games
(firmenpresse) - YORK, PA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/05/15 -- Bill Hynes has been confirmed as an official participant in this year''s X Games. Broadcast on ABC/ESPN, the X Games represent the pinnacle of alternative sports, including the highflying Stadium Super Trucks. Hynes joined the sport last season after earning a roster spot in the highly competitive professional truck racing sport helmed by NASCAR and off-road truck legend, Robby Gordon.
Fans of adventure sports will want to tune-in and support Hynes as he challenges himself to navigate a series of twists, turns and "Dukes of Hazzard" style jumps that are often the highlight of the event. Hynes, in addition to EJ Viso and Scotty Steele, is sponsored by the multiplatinum rock band LIVE.
"We love the fans that support both Stadium Super Trucks and the X Games. We grew up on skateboards and music, so this is a natural fit to raise awareness about LIVE and have fun. Bill is an incredible advocate for our veterans and those who need a second chance at life. It''s really rad to see him find his groove," said lead vocalist Chris Shinn.
Hynes, a U.S. Army veteran, became interested in racing while supporting his friend and racing legend, Michael Andretti.
"I''m from Nazareth, PA. The Andretti passion for racing is apparent throughout the town. I was always curious to learn more about racing and finally attended a professional driving school to see what it was all about. I had no idea that it would be so fulfilling or that I''d be accepted into Stadium Super Trucks. I still have a lot to learn but I''m fortunate to be surrounded by a group of incredible drivers, and I''m proud to be a part of team LIVE for this year''s X Games," adds Bill Hynes.
The X Games will broadcast the Stadium Super Trucks event this Sunday, at 2pm (ET) on ABC.
