On behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, Rod Bruinooge, Member of Parliament (Winnipeg South), today announced the names of the three national winners of the 2015 Canada Day Challenge. The theme for this year''s Challenge was "Strong. Proud. Free."

The winners are Misturah Evbogme, from Winnipeg, Manitoba, in the "Write it!" category; Shayla MacInnis, from Winnipeg, Manitoba, in the "Draw it!" category; and Eric Duivenvoorden, from Upper Kingsclear, New Brunswick, in the "Snap it!" category.

In addition to being invited to participate in Canada Day activities on Parliament Hill, on July 1, 2015, the national winners will also have the opportunity to benefit from the expertise of the National Film Board in the production of their own short feature on their adventure in the National Capital Region.
