The Fraser Institute: Media Advisory; Study Comparing Government and Private-Sector Compensation in Canada Coming Thursday, June 4
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 06/03/15 -- The Fraser Institute will release a new study comparing government and private-sector compensation nationwide across Canada on Thursday, June 4.
The study, Comparing Government and Private Sector Compensation in Canada, calculates the "wage premium" (i.e., the degree to which public-sector wages exceed private-sector wages for similar positions) for all government employees (federal, provincial, and local) and private-sector workers nationwide. The study also compares four components of non-wage benefits: pensions, early retirement, job security and absence rates.
