The Royal Society of Canada Issues a Position Paper on Strengthening Government by Strengthening Scientific Advice
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 05/29/15 -- The Royal Society of Canada has published the second in a series of position papers intended to serve as constructive additions to policy conversations about research and scholarship in Canada. The paper is entitled Strengthening Government by Strengthening Scientific Advice: Fully realizing the value of science to Canadian society. "The Strengthening Government paper is the second in a series," noted RSC President Graham Bell, "and is meant to support elected officials in their deliberations on vital issues for the future of Canada."
The Position Paper is available , and includes the sections: Why is scientific advice essential? How would a chief scientific advisor strengthen government? and How the academies can help.
