FedEx Express Canada Delivers Royal Package to Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
(firmenpresse) - CHARLOTTETOWN, PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND -- (Marketwired) -- 05/28/15 -- Federal Express Canada Ltd. ("FedEx Express Canada") delivered a gift on behalf of the City of Charlottetown, PEI to Prince William and Princess Catherine to celebrate the birth of their baby girl who shares a name with the historic maritime community (population 35,000).
The royal package in honour of Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte was delivered directly to Clarence House in Westminster, England on May 26, 2015, courtesy of FedEx Express Canada, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX). The City of Charlottetown included items in the gift to the Princess that reflect the cultural, economic, and artistic diversity of the Island and the Capital City:

FedEx Express Canada delivered the package at no cost to the City of Charlottetown.

"We know our small basket of gifts would arrive safely and on time, and we hope the Royal family enjoy it."
This delivery is the latest of in-kind services FedEx Express Canada has performed for municipalities across Canada. In July 2013, the people of Prince George, British Columbia sent a similar gift basket via FedEx to Princess Charlotte''s older brother to commemorate his birth. On March 25, 2013, FedEx Express Canada made international headlines with the delivery of two Giant Pandas from Chengdu, China to the Toronto Zoo at no cost to the City of Toronto or the zoo. On June 8, 2013, FedEx Express Canada donated the use of a specially-chartered flight to Natuashish, NL to rescue 70 puppies as a means to assist with local efforts to ease pressures with the over-population of stray dogs.
