However, only a few of us are aware that 80 percent of them have to take their meals in the truck for reasons of time pressure, as a study of a South German employment office reveals. Dometic promotes the trend towards healthier, inexpensive nutrition with the launch of the Roadmate MWO 230. With the new truck microwave oven, truckers no longer have to stop at motorway service areas, they can plan their time more flexibly, save money and enjoy home-cooked food.
The compact microwave oven has an output of 800 watts and a capacity of 20 litres, which means it will easily take a plate or casserole dish holding the food to be warmed up. The microwave makes do without a turntable, so it is easier to be kept clean. Moreover, it has been approved without reservations by leading truck manufacturers. DAF, Scania and Volvo have already designed customised fixing kits for some of their vehicles.
Vibration tests have proved that the Dometic Roadmate is fully compatible with the rigours of the road. It has also successfully passed the E-certification. The Dometic Roadmate MWO 230 is supplied with energy from the onboard system via an inverter with remote control, both of which are included in the package.
