Wedgeport Celebrates Acadian Culture and Pride
Government of Canada provides funding to the Wedgeport Acadian Festival Association
(firmenpresse) - WEDGEPORT, NOVA SCOTIA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/15/15 -- Department of Canadian Heritage
Greg Kerr, Member of Parliament (West Nova), today announced $2,000 in funding for the Wedgeport Acadian Festival Association. He made this announcement on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.
The Association will use this funding from the Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program to organize the 33rd Wedgeport Acadian Festival, which will take place on August 7 and 8, 2015. The festival lineup will include a series of concerts with local performers and workshops about Acadian life, past and present. These events will feature the talents of 11 local artists.
