The ODU MEDI-SNAP® EMC combines shielding and plastic housing
(PresseBox) - Shielded plastic connector: the ODU MEDI-SNAP EMC is the newest addition to ODU''s family of Push-Pull circular connectors. The latest portfolio expansion of the electrical connection technology specialist combines the application-related benefits of both metal and plastic. The ODU MEDI-SNAP EMC is very light in weight, autoclavable and sterilizable, cost-effective and offers reliable protection against accidental contact while providing reliable shielding at the same time. This way, the connector satisfies customer demands and market requirements at once. "The demand for shielded products is always on the rise, since applications in medical technology require more and more electronics in the smallest space possible," explains Günter Rohr, Global Portfolio Manager at ODU. "This new development is the result of our great expertise in implementation and consistent refinement of our existing portfolio." And of course it retains the wide variety of coding possibilities (in terms of both color and mechanics) and great chemical resistance. The product expansion is now available for the standard size 2 in the ODU product range.
