OCULUS Goes Live With abas ERP Software
(firmenpresse) - STERLING, VA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/12/15 -- OCULUS Inc., a medical devices manufacturer in Arlington, Washington, has gone live with abas ERP software. OCULUS will be using abas ERP software for distribution and service purposes.
"We really liked that we were working with a team who could create the technology, rather than with a middleman," said Michael Wolber, Chief Executive Officer at OCULUS Inc. Wolber said abas stood out for allowing his team to work directly with the owners of the software, whereas other suppliers are only able to sell the product.
The firm underwent two implementations of abas ERP software for their medical device companies, OCULUS Inc. and OCULUS Surgical of Port St. Lucie, Florida. The implementation process followed an aggressive schedule that allowed for the go-live in just an 8-month period, contrasted to the 12-18 month time frame that other ERP software systems require.
Implementing abas ERP software at OCULUS Inc. required validation by the FDA, a primary regulator of OCULUS Inc. abas ERP was flexible and able to complete the detailed installment with third party validation in a short period of time. "The FDA consultant was very excited with what we were able to do and became a partner for other customers who need validation," said David Capizzi, director of consulting services at abas.
"It''s a big challenge to change your whole ERP system from something old to something new," said Wolber. "abas made it as efficient and easy for us as possible." After one month of using abas ERP software, Wolber said his team is already pretty comfortable with the new system.
