Support for Francophone and Acadian Communities
Government of Canada supports five New Brunswick organizations
(firmenpresse) - MONCTON, NEW BRUNSWICK -- (Marketwired) -- 05/11/15 -- Department of Canadian Heritage
Robert Goguen, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Justice and Member of Parliament (Moncton-Riverview-Dieppe), today announced a total of $231,000 in funding for five organizations that help enhance the vitality of Francophone and Acadian communities. He made this announcement on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, and the Honourable Bal Gosal, Minister of State (Sport).
The recipients of the funding are the Association francophone des aines du Nouveau-Brunswick ($40,000), the Canadian Institute for Research on Linguistic Minorities ($65,000), the Societe Nationale de l''Acadie ($50,000), the Salon du livre de Dieppe ($20,000) and the Regroupement feministe du Nouveau-Brunswick ($56,000). The support is provided through the Development of Official-Language Communities Program and the Toronto 2015 Pan Am and Parapan Am Games Community Celebrations Fund.
