Cimation Appoints Sean Smiley Operations Director of Denver Office
(firmenpresse) - HOUSTON, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 05/04/15 -- Cimation is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Smiley to the role of Operations Director, Denver effective April 20. In this position, Mr. Smiley is responsible for establishing the regional business unit''s vision and execution strategies, maintaining relationships with existing customers, and delivering quality projects throughout the Western United States.
Mr. Smiley joins Cimation from Rockwell Automation where he held the role of Senior Global Oil and Gas Industry Consultant for more than three years. Prior to Rockwell, Mr. Smiley held multiple roles in the automation and manufacturing space, including Regional and National Sales Manager at Yokogawa and Regional Sales Manager at Emerson. Although known for his expertise in oil and gas, Mr. Smiley began his career in the power generation industry and has presented several papers related to automation at POWER-GEN International conferences.

Mr. Smiley holds both a B.S. and an M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He is an active member of the International Society of Automation (ISA), where he currently serves on the ISA 18.2 (Management of Alarm Systems for the Process Industries), ISA 101 (Human-Machine Interfaces), and ISA 84 (Safety Instrumented Systems) committees.
